Witnesses cross-examined at Shaquille Grant murder PI

Romel Bollers and Troy Grenidge, two of the prosecution witnesses in the ongoing Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the murder charge against policeman Terrence Wallace for the death of teen Shaquille Grant, were on Monday crossed-examined by defence attorney Sonia Parag.

Meanwhile, when the PI continued yesterday before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, Detective Constable Phillip Bowman and Detective Constable Seon Critchlow took the stand and testified.

Grant, 17, of Lot 72 ‘BB’ Eccles, East Bank Demerara, was on September 11 allegedly fatally shot by members of the Guyana Police Force at Agricola, East Bank Demerara, where enraged residents later confronted lawmen over their actions. Constable Wallace was subsequently charged with the murder, while arrest warrants have been issued for Lance Corporal Warren Blue and Special Constable Jamal Lewis.
The PI will continue today.
