Does the confusion around Parliament reflect the confusion of minds within it?

Dear Editor,

So Parliament met yesterday!  I wonder what the state of affairs around Parliament Building was – on all sides east, west, north and south.  Every time I pass there I often wonder why it is so deplorable and depressing, and if the filthy state of that surrounding symbolizes what transpires within.  Do our political leaders ever cast an eye on (or smell) the miasmas that surround them and that edifice?

My other concern is the disruption of traffic in that busy area of town when Parliament is in session.  If these two grave problems (there might be others), cannot be remedied, I suggest that Parliament be moved to some suitable place which is conducive to the clear thinking of such erudite members of society.

Yours faithfully,
Hilmon Henry
