Last ball victory for St Agnes over St Pius in windball

Defending Georgetown Zone male champions St. Agnes Primary recorded a last ball victory over St. Pius Primary as action in the 16th Annual End of School Year Windball Champions Trophy continued at the National Park, Thomas Lands.

Batting first St. Pius made 40-3 in their allotted five overs. Samuel Fraser recorded bowling figures of 2-12. St. Agnes in reply struck the winning boundary of the last of their allotted overs to finish at 43-4. Shawn Mars top scored with 13 runs for the Church Street side.

Mae’s School 110-5 crushed Thomas Moore Primary 49-5 by 61 runs. Yudistir Persaud stroked 49 runs with 5x6s and 3x4s and Navindra Persaud contributed 31 runs with 3x6s and 3x4s for Mae’s. Jamal Wills top scored for the D’urban Street side with 15 runs.

Brandon Ramnarine’s all-round effort of three wickets and 12 runs could not prevent North Georgetown Primary 46-3 from going down to West Ruimveldt Primary 47-3 by one run.

St. Margaret’s Primary advanced against Monar Primary to the semifinals following the latter’s playing of an over-aged player in their match-up.
