The die is cast, the signatures are affixed and the 30th edition of the Guyana Fight Night Pro Am card is now official following yesterday’s contract signing at the Guyana Boxing Board of Control (GBBC) office.
CABOFE champions, Edmond DeClou (middleweight) and Dexter Marques (flyweight) as well as Kishawn Simon and David Thomas signed their contracts for the October 13 card at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The card will be headlined by Dominican based Clive ‘The Punisher’ Atwell and Jamaican Glenroy Beckford who both will sign their contracts when they arrive shortly.
Atwell, the undefeated CABOFE featherweight, junior welterweight and local featherweight and lightweight titlist will take on Beckford in an eight-round lightweight bout.
DeClou, the CABOFE middleweight ruler will face hard hitting Berbician, Derrick Richmond in an eight-round affair while Marques, the flyweight CABOFE champion will lace it up against new sensation Richard Williamson in their super bantamweight fisticuff also scheduled for eight rounds.
A junior welterweight four-round duel involving David Thomas and Simon is also on the cards.
