North Ruimveldt man shot

At about 0145h. today, police say that Clifton Anderson, 50 years, of North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was about to enter his yard in his motor vehicle when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.

Anderson reversed the vehicle and attempted to drive away during which the armed man discharged several shots at him, hitting him to his back and right knee. He has been admitted to hospital.

Investigations are in progress.
