Today, between 06:00 hours and 10:15 hours, a Joint Services search was conducted at the New Mazaruni Prison and prohibited items were found.
A release from the police said that the operation comprised several officers and ranks of the Guyana Prison Service and Guyana Police Force.
The following prohibited items were found:
1. 6 Cellular Phones
2. 6 Lighters
3. 7 Improvised Weapons
4. One pair of Scissors
There were no incidents.
