Dear Editor,
Recently, I visited an eatery in Alberttown and proceeded to pay for my order with the recently circulated five thousand dollar bill. Much to my surprise, the cashier informed me that they were ordered by management to refuse the five thousand dollar note.
Editor, is this legal? Isn’t this note legal tender for the purchase I was about to make? Do businesses have the right to refuse the five thousand dollar bill?
