Contracts signed, professional boxing returns to B/ce

With the inking of the contracts yesterday at the Abdool and Abdool building, professional boxing will return to Berbice as Mark Thom Promotions will stage a three-bout fight card dubbed the ‘Rose Hall Town Showdown’ on December 13th.

Promoter Thom during an invited comment said:“I expect the card to be a really productive thing for Berbice as far as sport goes in the whole. “They have never had a national championship fight in Berbice as far as I can recall. People should come out and support it so we can have more.

“I expect people to come out because it is the first of its kind which could be the beginning of something great,” he added.
