Guyana National Stadium set for Jaguars match up

All is set and ready at the Guyana National Stadium as the pitch and outfield are in good condition ahead of today’s Regional Professional Cricket League clash between the Guyana Jaguars and the Windward Volcanoes.

Up to late yesterday afternoon the ground staff was busy with their final preparations before game day. The match will feature the Jaguars who are atop the table after defeating the Leeward Franchise by an innings and 10 runs in their first round match at the said venue and the Volcanoes who lost to Jamaica by 13 runs in their opening match at Sabina Park in Jamaica.

Despite the constant downpours in the city and its suburbs yesterday, the ground is in excellent shape and the game is expected to get underway at its scheduled time today.

The pitch is reminiscent of the one used against the Leewards and is likely to play in similar fashion; low and slow.
