A paid advertisement for the People’s Progressive Party/Civic in the form of a cartoon showing military personnel with weapons in their hands inadvertently appeared in the April 26th edition of the Sunday Stabroek. The advertisement was offensive on several grounds and had not been vetted before being placed on a page. Stabroek News regrets the publishing of the ad. The PPP/C has since been advised that this ad is unacceptable.
