Meckdeci, Joseph, Wiltshire siblings still unbeaten

Benjamin Meckdeci, Akeila Wiltshire, Nyron Joseph and Shomari Wiltshire remained unbeaten when the Guyana Squash Association (GSA) sanctioned Woodpecker Products Junior National Championship continued Saturday evening at the Georgetown Club, Camp Street.

Meckdeci crushed Anthony Islam 11/4, 11/1, 11/4 and Matthew Phang 11/5, 11/4, 11/6 and Joseph crushed Alec Melville 11/6, 11/3, 11/5.

The Wiltshire siblings Akeila easily dispatched Rebecca Low 11/5, 11/3, 11/1 while younger brother Shomari crushed Gianni Carpenter 11/3, 11/3, 11/3.

Samuel Ince-Carvahal crushed Nechemiyah Levans 11/2, 11/1, 11/4; Phang defeated Dominic Collins 11/3, 11/4, 11/2; Larissa Wiltshire crushed Sarah Lewis 11/4, 11/5, 11/1 and Kirsten Gomes dismissed Aliyah Persaud 11/7, 11/7, 11/2.

In the final matches of the female section, Abosaide Cadogan defeated Teija Edwards 11/7, 7/11, 11/6, 11/7 and Makeda Harding crushed Madison Fernandes 11/0, 11/5, 11/0.

In the other results, Ethan Jonas defeated Demetrius DeAbreu 11/1, 4/11, 11/6, 11/6; Nathan Rahaman overcame Mohryan Baksh 3/11, 11/6, 11/6, 6/11, 11/8 and Michael Alphonso defeated Kamir Khan 11/3, 11/4, and 11/1.

Also securing easy wins were Chad DeAbreu, who defeated Louis DaSilva 11/3, 11/3, 11/6; Gianni Carpenter, who brushed aside Levans 11/7, 11/2, 11/1 and Demetrius DeAbreu, who dismantled defeated James Meckdeci 11/0, 11/0, 11/3.

The final results of the section saw Micheal Alphonso defeating Zach Persaud 11/8, 11/6, 11/4 while Persaud downed Liam Carpenter 11/1, 11/1, 11/5 and Shiloh Asregado defeated Wade Beckles 11/8, 11/4, 11/3.

Due to the heavy rainfall yesterday, the final round of matches has been rescheduled until further notice.
