Gas station attendant shot in robbery

A lone bandit carrying a handgun shot a female pump attendant at a Texaco service station on Saturday night during a robbery.

Jacqueline James, age 17, was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital nursing a gunshot wound to the leg. The incident occurred at the Texaco service station on Vlissengen road.

James reportedly told police that the man approached her on a motorcycle under the pretext that he wanted to buy gasoline but pulled out a gun and shot her minutes later. He relieved her of cash before escaping.
