An elderly pastor was robbed of items worth some $275,000 over the weekend while in the backyard of his West Ruimveldt home.
According to a police press release, Kenneth Beaton, 65, of 545 West Ruimveldt Housing Scheme was in his backyard on Saturday around 6.53 pm when three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, confronted him.
The men proceeded to relieve the man of gold jewellery and other items to the value of $275,000. The men then made good their escape and so far no arrest has been made.
However, enquiries are in progress.
