Remanded on charge of accepting stolen car

A 24-year-old man accused of willingly accepting a stolen car appeared yesterday in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to prison by Acting Chief Magistrate Cecil Sullivan.

Royston Williams of Mon Repos Squatting Area is alleged to have received a motorcar valued $2M belonging to Joan Eastman on January 20, knowing it to be stolen or unlawfully obtained.

Williams pleaded not guilty to the charge of receiving stolen property and will return to court on February 16.
