Two men in a red motor car yesterday robbed a recently opened East Coast of Demerara gas station of a quantity of cash.
According to a police press release about 3:30 am two young pump attendants Parvattan Bidagaer c/d Leon and Shawn Baggot c/d Shanie 24 and 17 respectively were on duty at the Chico Ramos Gas Station, Strathspey when the men drove into the filling station.
The men then pounced on the Enmore, East Coast of Demerara and Kitty residents respectively, robbing them at gunpoint of $87,000 and escaped. The money is reportedly the property of Vishnu Satyanand.
Meanwhile, the police are carrying out investigations.
