The Alliance For Change (AFC) says it is saddened by the passing of one of Guyana’s finest journalists, Cecil Griffith.
The party said Griffith stood for independent thought, objectivity, fairness; he embodied the principles of good journalism. “Cecil had the gift of transcending the divisions of age, class and politics and was a mentor to many young media practitioners in Guyana,” the AFC said. He enjoyed the unchallenged respect of the entire media fraternity.
The AFC extends condolences to his relatives and the media fraternity “on their tremendous loss.”
