21-year-old alleged cocaine supplier nded

A 21-year-old man appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday after being accused of conspiring with others to supply and export cocaine.

Another man is still being sought by police in connection with the said offence.

Osafa Yarde of 154 Lodge Housing Scheme pleaded not guilty to the charge of conspiracy to traffic in narcotics and Acting Chief Magistrate Cecil Sullivan remanded him to prison.

It is alleged that during January, Yarde conspired with other persons unknown to traffic in narcotics, that is to say to export and supply 515 grammes of cocaine to Shantol Mansfield and Andrew Gravesande.

The matter continues on February 20.
