The Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club (CSTC) will be staging a Bartica 2007 International Race Walk on March 18 from 6:30am to mark the beginning of their series of international race walk events this year.
The race will proceed from the Monument to conclude at the Regatta Pavilion and will involve participants from all administrative regions in Guyana as well as competitors from overseas.
Trophies and other prizes are up for grabs in all categories, male and female (seniors, juniors and veterans).
Interested persons are asked to be at the starting point from 6:00am.
Prizes will be presented by Regional Chairman of Region Seven Holbert Knights.
Meanwhile, CSTC coordinator Olga Harry announced that there will be a Youman Nabi race walk billed for April 1 at the National Park.
