Ronald Daniels, the prison escapee who allegedly shot and killed an Essequibo logger over a month ago has changed his appearance, which might be making it more difficult for police to track him down.
And relatives of the dead logger, Indar Gajadar, are dissatisfied with the police response; they said ranks have shown indifference in handling the matter. “Imagine when they come fuh take the statement, they been writing in their hand,” one relative told this newspaper yesterday.

Gajadar’s relatives believe that they police have generally not treated his death and the circumstances surrounding it with much urgency and said they have been told by residents at Perseverance that the man was seen several times in the area visiting another man, who the police had arrested and held for a short while after the murder.
