Sol Guyana Incorporated recently opened a new branch at Itabali, Essequibo River, an initiative propelled by the need to satisfy its customers, and protect and expand business, General Manager Ken Figaro said.
During the opening of the branch, Figaro recalled that Sol has been operating in Bartica for over 50 years and has been the main supplier of fuel, lubricants and other items not only in that township but also to many mining customers in the interior. He said the company learnt about the excessive time required, the inconvenience and the cost of getting to Bertica to uplift supplies endured by customers and decided to address the issues. It was through that need that the company learnt about the under utilisation of two tanks in the area and realised that the size and location of the tanks seemed suitable to its needs.
The tanks were subsequently refurbished and the branch was opened.
