East Coast inflicted a crushing defeat on the University of Guyana when they clashed at the Enmore Community Centre ground last Friday.
Batting first, East Coast rattled up 164-5 off their 20 overs. Marvin Cato topscored with 62 (6x4s; 3x6s),while Rawle Fredericks supported with 57 (3x4s).
S.Seepersaud was the most successful bowler for U.G. with 2-21 from four overs.
When the academics took to the crease, they were skittled out for 49 in 14.5 overs, as Travis Gilbert (3-5 off 3.5 overs); Devon Peters,(3-10 off four); and Chetram Ramlall (3-14 off four), wreaked havoc.
