A 38-year-old chain-saw operator was hospitalized with a gunshot wound in his right foot after he walked into a gun trap at Upper Aruka, North West District yesterday.
According to a police press release, the incident occurred at around 2:30 am yesterday as the chain saw operator; Kevin Daniels of Kumaka went into the bush “to answer a call of nature”. Police said that he was shot after walking into a gun trap.
He was taken to the Mabaruma Hospital and referred to the Georgetown Public Hospital. Investigations are continuing.
