Guyana regrets Bhutto death

The Guyana Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday sent an official message to its counterpart in Pakistan conveying the condolences of the government and people of Guyana on the tragic death of that country’s former prime minister and opposition leader, Benazir Bhutto.

According to the message the unfortunate tragedy comes at a time when the democratic process in Pakistan has been subjected to severe stress and uncertainty. It said it hopes peace and stability will prevail to allow the Pakistani people to decide their future.
