Mahdia couple remanded on trafficking charge

A couple who allegedly had over 1,000 grammes of ganja at a house at Mahdia was yesterday remanded to prison by Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys.

Richard Colder and Eulex Angus pleaded not guilty to possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking when they appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

It is alleged that on August 3 at 111 Miles Mahdia they had 1,235 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. The two are said to have had the drugs in a haversack in the home.

Their case was transferred to the Mahdia Magistrate’s Court for October 10.
