Police recapture ‘Bully’, two more NOC escapees

Police have captured a wanted DeKinderen man at Bartica and two more juvenile escapees from the Onderneeming-based New Opportunity Corps (NOC), at Supenaam.

In a statement, police said Dwayne ‘Bully’ Marks escaped while being escorted to the Georgetown Prison on July 12 last year. He had been charged with three counts of break and enter and larceny and robbery under arms and had been remanded to prison at the time of his escape.

Meanwhile, six juveniles from the NOC had escaped between 11.30 am and noon while they were working on an agriculture plot at the back of a building. They had been left unsupervised for a brief period. Two were recaptured on Saturday and efforts are continuing to locate the remaining two.
