Man injured in Sheriff St ‘drive-by’

A man is nursing a gunshot graze to the side of the head and a bullet in his foot after someone in a car fired at him while he and a friend were sitting on their motorcycles on Sheriff Street last night.

Sources at the Georgetown Public Hospital said the man was taken there by police after being picked up from where the shooting happened.

Information reaching this newspaper suggested that the man had also been shot during the 2002-2003 crime spree. He is believed to still have bullets lodged in his body from that earlier shooting. Up to press time last night the man was being treated for his wounds.

This newspaper was unable to ascertain the man’s name.
