The Berbice Chamber of Commerce and Development Association has condemned the brutal slaying of innocent children and their parents in the recent Lusignan attack and has appealed for peace.
In a press release, the chamber said that this gruesome attack on poor, helpless people “damages the fabric of our society.” It called for peace and pledged its support to the government and the security forces in the fight to curtail “this type of terrorism”.
While extending condolences to the relatives of the victims, the chamber pleaded with citizens to desist from burning roads and creating additional chaos.
