Clico donates computers, cash

Clico on Wednesday launched its 2008 marketing campaign by donating 15 computers to 15 schools and handing over $250,000 each to four social institutions.

According to a press release, the Colonial Life Insurance Company (CLICO) launched the campaign under the theme ‘Going Beyond for You’.

Following the positive response to its E-Learning Programme the company again donated computers to schools including the Buxton Community High and One Mile Primary.

The Palms, Dharm Shala, Guyana Society for the Blind and the Ivy Hall Memorial Home each received cash donations.

Clico Sales and Marketing Manager Venita Bovell said the campaign aims to give back to communities since they consider them the base of the company’s success.

The event was held at Le Meridien Pegasus Hotel.
