The Guyana Marketing Corporation (GMC) has been tasked with finding buyers for farmers whose crops and livestock may be threatened because of heavy La Nina rain.
According to a press release Minister of Agriculture Robert Persaud handed down the instructions to the GMC. GMC General Manager Nizam Hassan said the agency will seek to facilitate the sale of produce and livestock in an effort to minimize losses to affected farmers.
