Trio remanded over knife-point robbery

Three men were remanded by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton when they appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on a charge of robbery under arms.

Vernon Barnwell, John Martin and Lloyd Butters were charged with robbing Tamesh Rawana, while threatening him with a knife, of one Nokia cell phone valued $3,500 and $8,000 in cash on February 21.

The men appeared in court unrepresented and were remanded until March 17.
