Dear Editor,
I read in another newspaper that the Jamaican artiste Movado ( who is famous for his hit “Gangster for life”)will be headlining the Linden Town Day activities. I think this is highly inappropriate given the present violence in Guyana.
A few months ago the police commissioner of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines took a stand and refused to grant a permit to allow Movado to perform in the SVG after an outcry from public citizens.
I expect the same to happen in Guyana.
