Dear Editor,
Add another name to the list of the massacred victims. Link this executed citizen to the roll call of the fallen innocents. Weave another incorrigible strand to the tapestry of our polarization. Listen for the voices now muted at the latest perforation of our conscience. Hear one more threnody that fills a home, spills into the air, and entombs our society. Mistake not the naked vengeance that punctuated a street, a night, a life.
Rest in peace Mrs Marcyn King. Your name will forever be whispered in the same breath as Lusignan and Bartica. And we the jaded survivors will plod through the rising rivulets of blood, looking and hoping and seeking for a light…
