Trio on forged passport charge

A woman and two men who allegedly conspired to commit a felony by forging a Republic of Guyana passport purported to be issued by the Central Immigration and Passport Office were yesterday brought before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Lalita Ramkoomar, Devon Dean and Kadjir Hussein pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to them by Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle. Ramkoomar was also charged with uttering a forged document.
It is alleged that on March 14 the trio conspired to commit a felony by forging the said passport and on March 18 Ramkoomar with intent to defraud uttered the said passport to an Immigration Officer at the airport.

They were each placed on $85,000 bail and the matter is scheduled to continue on April 25.
