Reece to ride in Trinidad

Banks DIH sales Manager (Berbice) Joshua Torrezao presents Neil Reece with his cheque in the presence of other Banks DIH officials including Banks Premium Beer manager Mike Fung.Flying Ace Cycle Club of Berbice has chosen its top 12-14 cyclist Neil Reece to be a part of the contingent that will represent Guyana at the West Indies versus the Rest of the World Cycling series that is scheduled to be held in Trinidad and Tobago from 11th to 20th April.
Reece, who has been dominating cycling events in the county whether at the senior or junior level, received sponsorship from A. Ally and Sons (Ticket and US$500.00) and Banks DIH Limited who presented Reece with a cheque for $50,000.00 to help offset his accommodation expenses.

“I always wanted to ride in the Tour de France and this competition ever since I began competing as a cyclist. My ultimate goal is to give Guyana further recognition in the cycling world during my sojourn as a cyclist until I decide to call it a day. I have been going through some intense training day in day out in preparation for the season ahead, so I can safely say that I am in pink condition to participate in this series” said Reece.

Reece, who is scheduled to depart these shores on Thursday for Trinidad, where he will join some of his more illustrious riding compatriots in Darren Allen, Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams, Warren Mc Kay, John Charles and Alonzo Greaves has also received donations from Alphonso and Sons sand Pit, Kalabus Security Service, Spready’s Bakery, Berbice Chamber of Commerce, Cops Security and Water Crest Hotel amongst others.
