I do use ink liberally

Dear Editor,
I refer to the letter by Carl Veecock captioned “Paul Harris’s comments on his cartoons were clear and informative” (08.04.09)
Thank you Mr Veecock for your complimentary remarks  and for deeming my cartoons worthy of joining the ranks of  your collection.
To date I have had five books of Justin Kunsorn cartoons   printed(last one being printed in 1996).

They were   printed in batches of 1000 each and thankfully they were    all sold but no reprints have been done since.

I do use ink, rather liberally I might agree . I also have to do    my drawings at a bigger size than appears in the newspaper, so when it is reduced to fit, my (layman’s) guess is    the dark areas in the drawing become condensed, thus    appearing heavy and dark.

My guess (again) is there has to be common ground where artwork and technical   requirements meet
Yours faithfully,
P Harris
