Our standards have fallen terribly

Dear Editor,

Yesterday it was Stabroek News, today it’s Sharma then tomorrow perhaps another victim of cheap politics. Though everything Channel 6 might have broadcast might not have been acceptable, this is just due to gross incompetence.

I recently took stock of our moral standards, and it shocked me to see what we have descended to. It is astonishing to see how life in Guyana is cheap. I am very sorry for the state of things.
Some day the people of Guyana will decide that they have the power to put an end to the racial politics practiced by the PPP and the PNC.  Less than 5% of my colleages who graduated in engineering from UG are in Guyana after just two years. The brains of our country will not stay and abide with such nonsense.

Hope, resilience and God are what we have on our side.

Yours faithfully,
Kumar Persaud
