LEAP presents computers to Linden town council

LEAP is continuing to provide institutional strengthening to the Mayor and Town Council (M&TC) of Linden through the setting up an electronic data management system.

These systems when combined with the setting up of the Local Area Network (LAN) and staff training will allow the M&TC to better manage information in its various departments and provide management with improved access to information to support decision-making.

One objective of the institutional strengthening component of LEAP is to create local planning and implementation capacity within local government institutions, which would allow these organisations to respond to the development needs of the Linden residents.

Since its inception, LEAP has undertaken several institutional strengthening activities with the Mayor and Town Council, including the rehabilitation of two mini-bus parks and training programmes.
