The Auditor General’s report for 2006 which should have been presented to the Speaker of the National Assembly on September 30, 2007 has been delayed because of budgetary and staff constraints and will be presented mid-June.

This is according to acting Auditor General Deodat Sharma who said that his office is working on both documents.
He told this newspaper that it was unclear at this stage whether or not the Office of the Auditor General will be able to present the 2007 report by the September 30, 2008 deadline.
