Woman wins cooker in Musical Chairs contest

Courts has announced the winner in its first game of Musical Chairs which was held as a part of its ‘Go Digital’ promotion. Roberta Smith danced her way to the final chair in the game and walked away with a $50,000 Oster Pressure Cooker. In celebrating her victory Smith told Stabroek News, “I haven’t played this game since I was at Primary School. It was fun.” The company said eight lucky customers were given the chance to win the cooker. The other participants were Cecelia Henry, Karno Dass, Dolly Sham, Sooklall Shiwnarain, Patrick Farley-Grant, John Sukhdeo and Madodrie Budhoo. They were each given consolation prizes. Customers, who spend more than $5,000 between May 12 and June 30 will not have to make down payments and will get three free instalments and a chance to win over $500,000 in prizes.
