Mr Walter Narine stated in his letter (‘Pit bulls are not people-haters’ SN, 30.5.08) that pit bulls are not people haters. What he did not state was that pit bulls are people killers! (I used to jog on the sea wall but had to give that up for fear of pit bulls, even though the owners had roped them). That is why many countries banned them.
In Guyana, politicians from all parties should quickly pass a law to do away with these beasts. They should all be put to sleep.
