Dear Editor,
It would be prudent if we were to put the passport office, the registry which issues birth certificates and the police department which gives clearances together under one roof. Not only do they come under the same ministry but there is a commonality in terms of much of the information they provide. A single building would make them easier for all to access, and of course significantly reduce the overheads of the three offices. Also we should think about putting it at a very strategic point in the city whereby persons coming from Essequibo and Berbice can exit and walk with ease to the location.
