Dear Editor,
How painful it was to read in this week’s SN of a most gruesome account of the slaughter of some ten dogs whom the perpetrators identified or believed were responsible for the destruction of their sheep.
As dog owner I was saddened as I pictured the scene of such cruelty. Only about a month ago a brutal murder was committed against a businessman who was killed in a most inhuman manner.
Oh how low can we descend that “man’s inhumanity to man” is now relegated to the lower species. I trust that the dog owners will co-operate with the GSPCA and the police to bring these cowards to justice.
