Ministry should look at these appendicitis deaths

Dear Editor,

I commented on June 10th about the very sad case of little Kean Graves who died after her appendix burst.

Now I’m reading this case in the June 15, 2008 Sunday Stabroek from years ago.

It is now five years later and still these things happen in the GPHC. I can’t believe it.

The doctors and the Hospital did not learn lessons from the past, that all this can happen again in 2008.

The Ministry of health in Guyana has to take action and ensure that these appendicitis fatal cases stop forever.

Appendicitis is not a difficult case nowadays to discover and operate.

Let’s hope that in the future this will stop.

Yours faithfully,
