Good response so far to Aracari – owner

The Aracari Resort at Versailles, West Bank Demerara officially opened last Thursday and so far there has been a good response to various activities held there, Chief Executive Officer of the entity, Sase Shewnarain said.

He told Stabroek News on Tuesday that activities held over the week-end including a Family fun-day on Sunday saw tremendous support. Such fun-days will be held every Sunday, he said noting that the families will be allowed to use the swimming pool and there would be menus catering for the family and games available. He said that persons had stayed in the hotel over the weekend and apart from one problem with plumbing, which was rectified, everything went smoothly.

In postings on the Stabroek News website, when this newspaper reported on the resort, some commentators had raised the issue of security at the US$4M resort. In his address last Thursday, Shewnarain said that the compound was fenced with cameras around the perimeter.   Many comments welcoming the investment and congratulating Shewnarain were also posted.
