Dear Editor,
There was a picture in the Sunday Stabroek (‘Memory lane’ 6.7.08) with the caption ‘Avenue of Palms Brickdam(?), date uncertain.’ I had a copy of this picture. It was indeed the Avenue of the Palms, Brickdam, and the picture was taken circa 1961.
