Biker dies after hitting horses on Miss Phoebe Road

A 44-year-old supervisor of the Guysuco Albion Estate died after he ran into some horses on Miss Phoebe Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice, while riding his motorcycle early yesterday morning.

According to a police release, Chunilall Mangal of Tain New Scheme, Corentyne was riding his motorcycle, CE 8789, on his way to work when he ran into the horses and lost control of the cycle.

He fell on the roadway and sustained injuries. He died while receiving treatment at the Port Mourant Hospital.

He was the 75th person to die on the country’s roads compared to 123 for the same period last year.
