Those sixty and over who have no NIS pension should not have to pay PAYE

Dear Editor,

I would like the public to know that when you have reached the age of sixty and over the government will not allow you to donate blood or pay an NIS contribution. But if you are not getting an NIS pension or any pension other than the old age pension, which is small and cannot support you, you will have to get a job. At sixty years and over, the only job you can get is a security job. I believe that senior citizens should not be made to pay any PAYE tax, because we have worked hard all our lives and built this beautiful country. We need a break in our old age.

Yours faithfully,
