The Office of the Insurance Commission (OCI) is processing an application by Caricom Insurance, former GuyFlag, for a licence and will complete this process by the end of this year. Whether the insurance company will be licensed or not will be decided at the end of that process. Caricom Insurance is therefore not guaranteed a licence at the end of the process as the headline in yesterday’s edition of this newspaper suggested. Stabroek News regrets the error.
