Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday remanded to prison a man accused of indecently assaulting a female.
Forty-four-year-old James Lindo of 7th Avenue, Bartica who allegedly indecently as-saulted a female on September 11 at his home was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
However Lindo stated that he was out all day drinking with his friends and when he had got home he ate some food and went straight to bed. He said that he is not aware of what went on that night since he was drunk.
The magistrate subsequently ordered that Lindo be remanded to prison and transferred the case to the Bartica Magistrate’s Court for October 29.
