Magistrate Melissa Robertson granted a 31-year-old woman $95,000 bail when she appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday to answer to a charge of forging a travel document.
Glevia De Court of Bachelor’s Adventure, East Coast Demerara pleaded not guilty to the charge of forging a travel document to leave the country between January 13, 2007 and October 12, 2008.
The prosecution did not object to bail though it submitted that bail should be granted in a substantial sum to ensure that the accused appears at court. De Court was ordered to appear at court on November 27.
